First stop: Glenwood and the Pope County Historical Society. A bustling, busy place, with spacious exhibition and research rooms (archives materials just hanging out!). The dated Native cultures displays may have been good for their time but they need a serious update
Second: The strange and dying town of Starbuck. Home to a whimsy-less and unsettling Christmas themed diner, empty place where the World’s Biggest Lefse once lay, and the respectful Hobo Park/ marina/ recreation area, paying tribute to the unemployed and impoverished with an oversized replica “hobo”
